Trouble and Tyler

A friend of mine made up a vamp character who he always described in manga-esque terms, and he asked me to do a pic of him with my favorite skinny little bloodsucker, which inherently presupposed I try out a manga type style for the pic itself. (otherwise the really huge eyes on Tyler would look kinda silly, no?) I wasn't quite satisfied with the plain pic, so I threw a simple canvas background behind it and was a bit happier. Did Trouble translate well to Anime (or should I just stick to Occidental work?) What say ye men and women of the jury?
And as a side note, this is the first pic I've posted here where Troub's little wings are visible. He's wearing his ripped old coat in this one and they're punching through.
