Untitled - Los Angeles Temple

This piece was produced for an auction benefiting youth in the Los Angeles area, helping to pay for them to go to summer camps. It did sell, which I am very pleased about, and it went to a home where they are very excited to have it, which I am also highly pleased about. It feels good to sell one of my paintings, even if I didn't make a dime from the sale myself.

I love that building. I was married in there and so were my parents. There are a number of nice pics of it in existence, but they're all pretty much the same and tend to be pretty dull, so I wanted to do something a little different and less schematic, less generic. Here is the result of that desire. Yes, I did deliberately mess with the perspective a bit. so sue me.

Sadly, this is one of those paintings that cameras hate. Texture of a painting does not translate well to photography, and almost every shot I took of it suffered from glare. Ah well.
